March in the Pilates community means it’s March MATness where we honor Joseph Pilates’ foundational mat exercises. We will be taking videos of the various exercises, some on the mat but many on the equipment, and highlighting them on social media as well as our YouTube Channel.

March MATness
March MATness is a social media campaign that pays tribute to traditional mat exercises from Joseph Pilates’ book Return to Life through Contrology. His original practice included 34 movements focusing on technique and control over repetition; incorporating correct alignment, breathing, movement, and concentration. This book contains several photos of Pilates himself demonstrating each exercise, check out the most updated version.
Get Lucky This March at Pilates by the Bay!
At Pilates by the Bay we are joining the movement to pay homage to the exercises that started it all. Each day we will post a video with the exercise of the day performed in one of our classes at the studio this month. We will even be making compilations to post on our YouTube Channel. We have so much to look forward to in March! After next week the sun will not set until 7 PM. We also welcome our new neighbors in our Plaza at 1407 Rt 37 E., Toms River, NJ 08753, and fellow Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce Members, Della Cucina. They are a family-owned Italian market and bakery. It’s great to see the parking lot bustling and our community getting back to normal. Please let us know if you have any parking issues, we will continue to monitor and make it work.
