A Pilates Journey Beyond Toms River
Our founder, Michele Toscano, embarked on an inspiring journey during her well-deserved vacation. While exploring Hilton Head, she stumbled upon Core Pilates, a local studio.
Michele had the privilege of experiencing a private session using Joseph Pilates’ original equipment, the Ped-O-Pull. This encounter has sparked ideas for potential additions to our studio’s equipment lineup. Stay tuned for exciting updates on this front!
Barre Classes: A New Chapter Unfolds
We are thrilled to announce the successful introduction of barre classes at Pilates By The Bay. After the popularity of our free classes, we decided to permanently add barre to our schedule. Taught by the experienced Lindsay O’Brien, our Total Body Barre classes combine Pilates, dance, and functional fitness, promising a unique blend of strength, balance, and cardio set to music. The classes are mat-based and capped at a cozy size of 8 participants for an intimate and focused experience. Join us on Tuesday nights at 7 PM and Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM for a session that not only burns calories but also brings joy to your fitness routine. Pricing Update: Mat Classes and Beyond
Effective November 5th, our mat class rates will be adjusted to $22 per class, with packages updated accordingly. This change reflects our commitment to providing quality services in a sustainable manner. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate the evolving landscape of operating a studio, especially in the current economic climate. To show our gratitude, we are offering current rates to those attending barre classes this month who wish to purchase a package for the following month. Your continued support means the world to us.
5 Years Strong: A Celebration of Community
October held a special significance for Pilates By The Bay as we celebrated our 5th anniversary of ownership. We’re delighted to announce that we’ve signed another 5-year lease at our space, reinforcing our commitment to being a staple in the Toms River fitness community. This milestone wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic instructors and, most importantly, our amazing clients. Your support has built a community we cherish and are grateful for every day.
Best of the Best: Pilates By The Bay in the Spotlight
For the second consecutive year, Pilates By The Bay is a finalist in the Asbury Park Press’ Best of the Best awards. This year, we are the only Pilates studio in the finalist category for best Yoga/Pilates Studio in Ocean County. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who nominated and voted for us. Fingers crossed as we eagerly anticipate the gala in November.
Pilates Teacher Training: Future Instructors in the Making
While this round didn’t bring new apprentices, we’re excited about the interest for the upcoming winter cohort. Details will be shared as soon as they’re available. Our current apprentices are in the final stages of their training, having completed their test outs and barre training.
