CLASS DESCRIPTION: A form of moving meditation, this 30 min Qigong Movement Class is a series of coordinated body postures, movements, and breathing exercises for powerful energy healing, consciousness transformation, and energy cultivation. This is a Qi energy-based “meditative movement” class, is not an ‘exercise’ class and is appropriate for ages youth through seniors.

The Qigong movement class will be followed by an optional 20 min guided mindfulness practice. The Mindfulness practice is FREE and you can opt out if you wish. The guided meditation will be conducted as a non-religious voice recording of different themes each week (such as body scans, breath work, guided relaxation, visualizations etc). If participating, please feel free to bring your own blanket, pillow, or meditation cushions and a light sweater if you chill easily.

Medical Qigong Private Sessions (30 min) 

PRIVATE SPA-LIKE HEALING TREATMENT DESCRIPTION:
Limited private treatments available by appointment. Enjoy 30 min of relaxation with ancient healing practices which offer amazing healing benefits. Each session includes:

  • Tui-Na: A light and therapeutic massage; This Chinese therapy makes use of rhythmic compression techniques along energy channels of the body to establish harmonious flow of Qi and bringing the body back to balance.
  • Cupping: Which helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and is a type of deep-tissue massage; (Leaves red marks as seen in athletes during last summer’s Olympics. May opt out of cupping if desired.)
  • Medical Qigong: Individualized treatment for pain relief, energy supplementation and centering.

You’ll leave your session relaxed, rejuvenated and energized.

Bodhi Suspension Training

Ballet Barre Mat Class

No Pilates experience needed. Ballet experience helpful, but not required. The class will include mostly barre work and follow a traditional ballet class format set to music.

Join Dancer & Choreographer, Kathryn Leibe, for this 55 min booty-kickin’ mat class! Workouts are completed in the same order as ballet class, starting with a warm-up at the ballet barre, including a plié sequence followed by basic tendus, degagés, rond de jambe exercises, frappés, fondus and grand battements. After that, combinations in the center feature linked ballet jumps and steps set to music for a cardio workout. Exercises are followed up by dance stretching exercises

 

Pilates 101 – Equipment Class

For a limited time, we are offering Pilates 101 Reformer classes starting February 4th. This is where it all starts! Perfect for anyone new to Pilates, in need of a refresher course, or for those who prefer a more moderately paced class.

Pilates Reformer 101 is an ongoing class, but is structured as a monthly course, where you will learn the basic principles and choreography of a beginner Reformer class. You will be guided through a 55-minute equipment class designed to teach the basic Pilates vocabulary and positions, improve your posture and core control. Sequences of exercises performed on the reformer while sitting, standing, lying or on all fours help you develop control of your abdominal, pelvic and spinal musculature through muscle contractions and breathing. These exercises emphasize precise alignment and efficient sequencing of movement.

This class is designed to be a friendly, no-judgments learning environment where questions are welcome and discussion is encouraged. Exercises will be broken down, the teaching is hands-on, and modifications will be provided to make the work accessible to everyone. This is truly a welcoming class no matter the fitness level.
