PILATES FOR TEENS & ATHLETES
PILATES FOR TEENS & ATHLETES
Protect and strengthen young growing bodies while giving them the competetive edge in their favorite sports. Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, range of motion and coordination without adding muscle bulk.
For decades, it’s been the exercise method for dancers and gymnasts but had been adopted over the years as the foundation exercise method of choice by virtually every major sport including swimming, football, wrestling, golf, tennis and more!
Is your teen not into sports?… While our youth should be of the most healthy groups, studies show that too many teens are stuck in front of their computer or video game boxes and not getting enough exercise to maintain their health and fitness. We know many teens don’t like repetitive exercise so we give them a fun and unique mix of strength training, flexibility, and cardio to keep them engaged and coming back for more!

PILATES FOR KIDS
PILATES FOR KIDS
Just like adults, kids are now spending more time sitting at desks and less time standing and doing physical activity. Whether it’s in front of video games, computers, or television, our children are more likely to sit indoors and lounge than run and play outside. This leads to issues such as poor posture, low back pain, and tight, uncomfortable joints. Starting a physical program, like Pilates, which emphasizes corrective movement patterns and breathing is especially beneficial at a young age because a child’s body is exceptionally responsive. Teaching children to use their bodies in a mindful and functionally sound way can help minimize and prevent potential aches and pains as well as long-term injuries.
Because Pilates is a mind and body discipline, it can guide kids to a stronger body, and a more relaxed state of mind. Working to strengthen their bodies can increase children’s self-esteem, stamina, abdominal strength and sleep. It also promotes agility coordination and mindfulness which transfers to schoolwork, everyday skills and sports activities. That, combined with the focused breathing techniques essential to the exercises, can help kids attain a much more serene and less stressful outlook.

PILATES FOR SENIORS
PILATES FOR SENIORS
If you are over 50, Pilates is a great way to increase your strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Pilates is regarded as an ideal exercise regime for people in or over their 50’s due to its low-impact exercises. The benefits of Pilates for more mature people include: improved posture, stamina and strength, along with improving balance and reducing your risk of falls. Whatever your size, strength or endurance, Pilates is beneficial for anyone. If you are suffering from arthritis, postural difficulties or bone density problems, Pilates might also help you.
